WHAT DOES SUSTAINABILITY MEAN FOR US?

At our core, we believe in sustainability as defined by the 1987 Brundtland report: meeting our needs today without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own. This means caring for the environment, fostering social well-being, and nurturing economic balance.

WHY IS SUSTAINABILITY IMPORTANT FOR US?

RUDE FÆNIX was born from our shared belief that design must be rooted in sustainability. We value sustainability because it's not just an option, but a necessity. Our choices today should not come at the cost of future generations. As a brand, we feel a responsibility to leverage our creativity and resources to solve problems and provide sustainable alternatives that meet our needs

WHAT IS RUDE FÆNIX DOING TO BE SUSTAINABLE?

At RUDE FÆNIX, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We design with a mindful approach, utilizing our available resources to create innovative and realistic products. We have a comprehensive plan in place to continuously improve and optimize our production methods, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Through extensive research and a commitment to challenging societal norms, we strive to redefine the value of materials. We believe that even small changes can make a big difference, and we encourage everyone to join us on this sustainable journey. Learn more in our philosophy.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR MATERIALS FROM?

At RUDE FÆNIX, we prioritize sustainability and ethical practices in our material sourcing. All our suppliers are based in the EU and adhere to EU standards for fair wages, safety regulations, and environmental responsibility. Our commitment to sustainability extends to using recycled and eco-friendly materials whenever possible. Currently around 70% of our suppliers are working with certified recycled materials. 

We currently source our materials from suppliers in Denmark, Germany, Italy and Spain.

YOU ARE USING PLASTIC, HOW IS THAT SUSTAINABLE?

Our decision to use acrylic as a jewellery material is rooted in its numerous beneficial qualities, particularly its ability to be recycled indefinitely. By choosing acrylic, we aim to provoke discussions about the perceived value of different materials in traditional jewellery. We also emphasize the significance of recycling materials in our daily lives, promoting a more sustainable and mindful approach to consumption.

HOW DOES YOUR TREE PLANTING INITIATIVE WORK?

For every order you place, we collaborate with a renowned reforestation organization, Ecologi. They plant a tree on your behalf in areas affected by deforestation or in need of reforestation. Together, we contribute to restoring ecosystems and combating climate change, making a positive impact with every purchase you make.

HOW SHOULD I TAKE CARE OF MY RUDE FÆNIX JEWELRY?

Please read our jewelry care page for instructions on how to maintain and take care of your jewellery.

WHAT IS THE SIZE OF YOUR JEWELLERY?

You can find both the measurements and weight of each product under the product descriptions. You can also read more about the sizes of our products here.

We also do our best to visually show the products on a model.

MY JEWELRY DOESN'T LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME, WHY IS THAT?

Due to the handmade and recycled nature of our collection, you may experience slight differences in the thickness, color and the pattern of each piece. Making all of the jewelry unique.

ARE THE JEWELRY HANDCRAFTED?

We personally handle the laser cutting of all our acrylic pieces, ensuring precise finishes and minimizing production waste. We love handcrafting our creations, taking care and control of every detail of our designs.

A PRODUCT IS LISTED AS OUT OF STOCK, WHEN CAN I EXPECT IT BACK?

As an eco-conscious company, we are working with low quantity productions, to ensure less waste and potential overproduction. If a product is out of stock we will make a note under the product description, giving an expected date for when the product will be back in stock. The typical lead time if a product goes out of stock is 2-3 weeks.

WHAT MATERIAL ARE THE JEWELRY MADE OF?

Materials can differ depending on the design you choose - Please read product description under each product to see specifics.

WHICH METALS DO YOU USE IN YOUR JEWELRY?

Depending on the product, the base will either be 925 sterling silver or brass. Gold- and silver plating will also vary a little depending on the design, please see description under each product to see the specific metal(s) used.

ARE THE METAL COMPONENTS PRODUCED FROM RECYCLED MATERIAL?

We are proud to share that 85% of all our metals (silver, brass) are sourced from certified sustainable origins.

ARE THERE ANY DANGEROUS CHEMICALS IN THE ACRYLIC?

The acrylic is certified with both REACH and RoHs certification. To see documentation please refer to THIS PAGE.

WHERE ARE YOUR JEWELRY PRODUCED?

All the acrylic is laser cut in Copenhagen, Denmark. The acrylic material is produced in Italy.

The metal parts are produced in Germany. The final assembly is done by hand in Copenhagen, Denmark, where our product also ships from.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS NICKEL FREE?

Yes - all our products are nickel free.

DO YOU OFFER A WHOLESALE DISCOUNT FOR BULK BUYING?

We do not offer wholesale or bulk buying at a discount. All our products are handcrafted and hand assembled, so the prices we offer are the prices needed to run the business sustainably.

HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY ORDER?

We currently accept payment from the following credit cards and payment providers: Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, Shop pay, Apple pay, Google pay and Paypal.

CAN I GET A REFUND IF THE PRICE HAS CHANGED SINCE I ORDERED IT?

Our prices rarely change, but as an online business it can occur. On that occasion we will not be able to refund any difference in pricing.

WHAT CURRENCIES CAN I USE TO PLACE AN ORDER?

All our pricing is calculated in Danish Kroner. But you are able to pay in either DKK or EUR.

WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED FOR MY ORDER?

The time at which you’ll be charged for your order will depend on the payment method you select at checkout. Most often the payment will be charged when we ship the item.

MY PAYMENT WAS DECLINED. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Please try and place your order again. If this fails, make relevant checks: Check that you are using the correct information, e.g. expiry date, security code.
Your card may have issues, please check with your provider or bank.

ARE MY DETAILS SAFE WHEN ORDERING FROM YOUR SHOP?

Yes - We are using Shopify as a platform. Shopify Payments is PCI compliant and supports 3D Secure checkouts.

HOW DO I USE PAYPAL TO PAY FOR MY ORDER?

You simply use the checkout button for Paypal. If you are experiencing any issues with Paypal payment, please refer to Paypal’s support.

MY PRODUCT ARRIVED FAULTY, WHAT DO I DO?

Sorry to hear that your product has been damaged! Please contact our customer service at HI@RUDEFENIX.COM and provide pictures and description of the issues, and we will resolve it.
**Please contact customer service before returning any faulty or incorrect items**

I RECEIVED THE WRONG PRODUCT, WHAT DO I DO?

Please contact our customer service with your order number and a picture of the received product(s), we will immediately send you a replacement and a return label for the wrong order without any cost of course.

CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER AFTER I'VE PLACED IT?

If you happen to place a wrong order, please contact our customer service at HI@RUDEFENIX.COM include your order number and we will do our best to cancel or change the order. If the order has already shipped, we will not be able to change or cancel it, and we will not refund the shipping or return cost at this stage.

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER AFTER I'VE PLACED IT?

If you happen to place a wrong order or regret your purchase, please contact our customer service immediately at HI@RUDEFENIX.COM with your order number and we will do our best to cancel the order. If the order has already shipped, we will not refund the shipping or return cost.

HOW IS MY PRODUCT SHIPPED?

We work with several big shipping suppliers. You will have the option to choose which one you would like to use when checking out.

HOW FAST DO YOU SHIP ORDERS?

As a small business, we handle all packaging and shipping processes ourselves. We strive to pack and ship orders as quickly as possible. Please allow 2-3 working days after placing your order for us to prepare and ship it. You will receive a notification once your order has been shipped.

HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

Depending on your choice of shipping service upon checkout, times may vary. Below is the standard estimated delivery time.
Denmark 2-4 days
Sweden 2-4 days
Spain 4-5 days

WHAT DOES THE SHIPPING COST?

The shipping cost depends on the country we are shipping to, as well as the shipping provider you choose. You can see the available shipping prices before you check out.

We offer free standard shipping within Denmark.

CAN I TRACE MY PACKAGE?

We will include a track and trace number in the email we send when your order is being shipped.

CAN I CHANGE MY DELIVERY ADDRESS AFTER I HAVE PLACED AN ORDER?

If you have made a mistake in your delivery address, please contact us as fast as possible. If the package has already shipped, we will not be able to change the delivery address, and we will not refund any shipping costs either.

CAN I CHOOSE A SPECIFIC TIME AND DATE FOR DELIVERY?

It is not possible to choose a specific delivery time for your package.

YOU DON’T SHIP TO MY COUNTRY, WHAT DO I DO?

Unfortunately we currently can’t offer global shipping. We are constantly working on expanding our reach, so keep following us or contact us at HI@RUDEFENIX.COM for a custom order.

MY PACKAGE HASN’T SHOWED UP - WHAT DO I DO?

Please contact our customer service at HI@RUDEFENIX.COM with your order number and we will track down your package or send you a replacement if lost.

Returns & refunds

CAN I RETURN MY PURCHASE?

You can return your order in the first 14 days from receiving the product. The product must be returned in the same condition as you received it, and in the original RUDE FÆNIX box. If you have purchased earrings, they must be returned in unused and unopened condition.
RUDE FÆNIX reserves the right to reject any returned items that do not meet the above requirements. You are responsible for any loss or damage to hardware during return shipment, so we recommend that you ship with insurance.
Please note that we do not cover the cost of returns unless they are due to a claim or a fault of ours. We are not able to refund customs and VAT for orders sent to destinations outside the EU.

CAN I EXCHANGE A PRODUCT?

No. We do not offer to exchange your purchase.

HOW CAN I TRACK MY RETURN?

If you are returning the product because of a fault of ours, we will provide you with the shipping label, and you will get a track and trace number to follow the package. If you are returning the package on your own behalf, you will get the track and trace number from your selected shipping company.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY REFUND IS INCORRECT?

Please contact us at HI@RUDEFENIX.COM with order number and a description of the error.

DO YOU REFUND DELIVERY CHARGES IF I RETURN AN ORDER?

No, we do not refund delivery charges, unless they are due to a claim or a fault of ours.

MY JEWELRY HAVE BROKEN - CAN I GET NEW ONES?

According to European law we offer 2 years warranty on our products. Please refer to our WARRANTY to see if you are eligible for receiving a replacement and how to proceed.
